Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Canimator, provided by Aticmatic, handles information when you use the Canimator Android app and canimator.com to create whiteboard animation videos.

1. Information we collect

Information	How and why we use it
Account information	Your name, email address, password hash, account ID, account status and sign-in timestamps let us create and secure your account, sign you in, and help with password resets. We store a password hash, not your readable password.
Projects and uploads	Project titles, scripts, prompts, scenes, drawings, captions, thumbnails, and images or audio you upload are processed and saved to provide the editor and make your work available across your devices.
AI and audio requests	When you use generation features, we process the content needed for your request and record usage such as model, token counts, audio length and credit use to provide the result and enforce your plan limits.
Purchases	Google Play purchase tokens, product and transaction identifiers, subscription status and credit balances let us verify purchases, restore access and manage plans. Google handles payment details; Canimator does not receive your full payment card number.
Usage and device information	Firebase Analytics in Android and Google Analytics on the website process information such as app or page interactions, sessions, app-instance or cookie identifiers, app version, device model, operating system, language and approximate region. These help us understand use and improve Canimator. Service requests also expose technical information such as IP address and user agent to our hosting infrastructure for delivery and security.
Support messages	If you contact us, we use the contact details, message and attachments you provide to respond and resolve your request.

2. AI, voice and other service providers

When you choose AI features, the relevant prompt, script, scene content or other input needed for the task is sent to the configured AI service. Canimator supports Anthropic, OpenAI and Google Gemini for text or image generation, and ElevenLabs for supported voice, sound or music generation. Which provider receives a request depends on the feature and service configuration. Generated results are returned to your project. Avoid including sensitive personal information in prompts or scripts.

We use Google Firebase and Google Analytics for analytics, Google Play for Android billing, and infrastructure providers to host the service and deliver files and account emails. Magnific may process stock-library searches and downloads, and may also receive scripts or prompts for voice, sound or music generation when configured as the audio service. These providers process information needed for their service under their own applicable terms and privacy practices.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law, protect the service or other people's rights, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections. When you export and share a video through another app, that destination receives the content you choose to share.

3. Device access and local storage

The Android app uses internet access to connect to Canimator. You choose files to import using your device's file selection tools. Saving exported videos may require storage access on older Android versions. Signing in uses a session token stored on your device; the website uses an authentication cookie. Analytics may use cookies or app-instance identifiers. You can manage browser cookies and device permissions in your browser or Android settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other features from working.

4. Security and international processing

Canimator uses HTTPS for service connections, hashed passwords and account-based access controls. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security. Our hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than your own, with different data protection laws.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep account information, projects, uploads and associated usage and purchase records while needed to provide your account and services. You can remove projects or uploads through the available app tools, or request help from support.

Deleting your account removes the account and its associated projects, uploads, credit wallet, subscription link, purchase records and generation-usage records from Canimator's active account systems and signs out your devices. Exported files saved on your own devices or shared elsewhere remain under your control. Google Play retains its own transaction records, and third-party providers handle their own records under their policies. Analytics collected separately is subject to the analytics provider's retention settings and may not be linked to your Canimator account.

Copies in infrastructure backups may remain until those backups are rotated. We may retain limited records where required for legal obligations, dispute resolution or security; contact us for information about any retention applicable to your request. Such retained information is used only for the relevant purpose.

You can delete your account without the Android app. See Delete your Canimator account for website instructions and an email request option. Deleting an account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; manage it separately in Google Play.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update your name, change your password, delete content and delete your account using the available account tools. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, receive a copy of, restrict processing of, or delete personal information, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact hellocanimator@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify account ownership before acting. Optional generation features process your input when you choose to use them.

7. Children

Canimator is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Canimator changes. The date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required.
